Precision Flow Control in Smaller Pipes

The Weber Sensors Flow-Captor 432x.1xM/xx comprises two models:

  • 4320.1xM/xx for water-based media
  • 4321.1xM/xx for oil-based media

It functions as a flow monitor in automation processes and various industrial applications that involve monitoring liquid substances. This series includes inline models specifically designed for installation in smaller pipe diameters. The sensor operates on the calorimetric measuring principle, detecting flow velocity within the inline tube and converting it into an electrical signal.

Key features

  • For small pipe sizes from OD6 up to OD28
  • Fully electronic
  • Separate adjustment of flow range and switching point
  • No mechanically moved parts
  • Separate adjustment for "range" and "set-point"
  • Analogue flow display and indication of the adjusted set-point via LED chain
  • LED for output status
  • ISO 9001 : 2015

Sensor Tube Different Sizes 432X 1Xm Xx

The sensor tube

The sensor tube (length 200 mm), is an integral part of the inline flow-captor. Crafted from stainless steel 316, it ensures durability. This series provides flexibility with sensor tubes available in various sizes, including:

  • 6 x 1 mm
  • 8 x 1 mm
  • 12 x 1 mm
  • 18 x 1.5 mm
  • 22 x 1.5 mm
  • 28 x 1.5 mm

Free flow

The sensor element of the inline flow-captor is positioned externally on the sensor tube, eliminating the need for any elements inside the tube itself. This design ensures that the sensor does not disrupt the flow. The durable housing is made of stainless steel 316, providing robust protection. The electronics are fully encapsulated in resin.

Mechanical Connection

For installation into pipe systems, cutting ring couplings (to be ordered separately) are recommended. These couplings have proven effective by allowing the swivel nut to be slightly tightened, causing the v-shaped ring inside to cut into the sensor tube wall. This mechanism ensures a tight and reliable connection.

Aggressive media

For aggressive media special sensor tube materials as Titanium and Hastelloy can be offered.

Calorimetric Measuring Principle: Precision Flow Detection with Weber Sensors

The sensor employs the calorimetric measuring principle, a technique that involves the precise detection of flow velocity within the inline tube. This process is facilitated by the sensor's ability to accurately gauge the heat generated by the flowing medium.

As the liquid passes through the tube, the sensor registers variations in temperature, allowing it to calculate the speed of the flow with remarkable precision. Subsequently, these temperature-related measurements with the advantage of no mechanically moved parts are transformed into an electrical signal.

This innovative approach ensures reliable and responsive monitoring of fluid dynamics in industrial applications.
