To support this, we will now divide our freight costs into three separate components:
- Freight – the traditional transportation cost
 - Environmental surcharge – a fixed fee that covers our general obligations related to documentation, waste management, and regulatory requirements
 - Packaging surcharge – a fixed fee that covers the use of environmentally friendly packaging materials and the safe handling of shipments.
 
With this change, we aim to create transparency and accountability throughout the entire value chain – allowing you as a customer to clearly see what your costs cover.
In this way, we can continue to meet regulatory requirements, select the right materials, and ensure a responsible, consistent, and sustainable handling of all shipments – to the benefit of you, our colleagues, and the environment.
