Calibration of the icountLaserCM20

This equipment is calibrated according to MTD or according to ACFTD and calibrated against the Master PCM at the particle sizes shown within the specified limits.

Therefore, the icountLCM320 has to be re-calibrated every 12 months, where it will get the annual certification and new calibration certificate.

This is something the equipment is set-up to automatically remind you of.

As master distributor of Parker you can contact us and we will take care of the re-calibration of your LCM20.

How does the LCM30 operates?

The icountLaserCM20 is a portable particle counter that accurately measures contaminants with a calibration range of ISO 7 to ISO 22 without counter saturation. It uses microprocessor-controlled optical scanning and a photodiode to convert light intensity to voltage output, which is recorded over time.

The reduction in voltage due to light loss as particles move across the window is proportional to particle size and recorded in one of 5 measured channels. Results are displayed on the LCD in accepted standards for printing or computer download via RS232. Up to 300 test results can be stored in the on-board computer.

Notes
  1. i The number of particles >70 μm (MTD), >100 μm (ACFTD) and in the ranges 50–100 μm and 100–200 μm (GOST) are not measured by this device. However, estimated values (indicated by the letter e on the display) have been calculated using the following formulae: MTD: >70e μm = >38 μm × 0.06816; ACFTD: >100e μm = >50 μm × 0.06816; GOST: 50–100e μm = >50 μm(ACFTD) × 0.93184; GOST: 100-200e μm = >50 μm(ACFTD) × 0.06816
  2. Special versions only - contact us.

  3. The instrument only uses the shorthand in these standards for reporting contamination levels.

  4. 95% confidence level using an MTD distribution with a concentration of 6mg/L.

  5. ISO 11171:2016 Annex B methodologies followed to determine Coincidence Error Limits.
