Sea Sentry Chelsea Technologies 1

The DNV-GL and ClassNK type approved IMO MEPC 259(68) compliant wash water monitor (WWM) from Chelsea TG is a complete scrubber wash water monitor, measuring all the required regulations parameteres; PAHphe, pH, turbidity and temperature. The Sea Sentry is the only WWM that corrects the PAHphe flouresence for interference, and it is suitable for closed loop, open loop and hybrid systems.

A turnkey solution with Sea Sentry

The sulphur limit was in 2020 dropped to 0.5%. To meet this target, the shipping industry need to implement new strategies. A relatively low cost solution is to install an exhaust gas cleaning system to reduce emissions.

When using wet scrubbers, it can be a challenge to handle the wash water disharge, which contains Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) that are harmful to the inviroment and the human health. Therefor, this wash water needs to be monitored for PAHs, alongside other water quality parameters including pH and Turbidity, prior to being discharged into the ocean.

Sea Sentry is a turnkey solution for monitoring intake and discharge from an exhaust gas cleaning system (EGCS) for compliance with global regulations. Using CTG's specifically designed and proven sensor technology, it monitors both the sensor inlet and outlet of wet exhaust gas scrubber systems.
