LMK 858

The LMK 858 from BD Sensors is a separable plastic immersion probe, which is designed to measure level in aggressive media like acids and alkalis), desalination plants, and for use in more viscous media such as sludge.

Moreover, the probe’s head can be separated from the cable part, which both reduces maintenance or service tasks, as well as it simplifies storage.

Standard LMK 858 Features

The LMK 858 submersible probe is precise and has the following features that benefits you:

  • Nominal pressure: 0 ... 40 cmH2O up to 0 ... 100 mH2O
  • Accuracy: 0.35 % (opt. 0.25 %) FSO
  • Diameter 45 mm
  • Cable and sensor section detachable
  • Chemical resistance
  • Housing PP-HT
  • Integrated lightning protection and increased overvoltage protection; 8 kA gas discharge tube (8/20 μsec); 4 kV surge l-l/l-e according to EN61000-4-5.

Furthermore, the probe’s basic element is the pressure sensor with a membrane that consist of high-purity ceramic (99,9 % purity), which is extremely vigorous and accurate. This means that you can reliably detect even the smallest fill levels.

Typical applications

The LMK 858 from BD Sensors is applicable in various settings:

  • Maritime industry
  • Chemical industry
  • Environmental industry.

The probe can also be used for various media including sewage water, sludge, and aggressive media.

Moreover, the LMK 858 is highly applicable outside building as there was emphasis on high surge and lightning protection in the development process of the probe.
