Flush-Mount Gas Detection for Commercial Buildings and Hospitality Environments

In commercial buildings, hotels, and hospitality environments, aesthetics and spatial integration matter alongside safety performance. Surface-mounted detectors are practical in plant rooms and mechanical spaces, but in occupied or visitor-facing areas - corridors, reception areas, air handling unit enclosures, and finished mechanical spaces - a flush-mount installation provides a cleaner result that integrates with the surrounding surface rather than projecting from it.

The SMART 3H FM-LITE delivers the same infrared detection performance and F-Gas Regulation compliance as the surface-mount SMART 3H LITE in a flush-mount form factor. Non-intrusive calibration by magnet means routine maintenance does not require opening the unit or removing it from the wall - an advantage in finished spaces where maintaining the installation's appearance and integrity matters. BIM files are available, supporting accurate representation in building information models from design through handover.

SMART 3H FM-LITE vs SMART 3H LITE - Surface-Mount or Flush-Mount?

The SMART 3H FM-LITE and SMART 3H LITE are the same detector in different mounting configurations. Both use an infrared sensor, detect A1 and A2L refrigerant gases and CO₂, comply with F-Gas Regulation, and share the same outputs, power supply options, and BIM file availability. The distinction is purely installation-related:

SMART 3H LITE - surface-mount installation. Suitable for plant rooms, mechanical spaces, and any installation where appearance is secondary to accessibility.

SMART 3H FM-LITE - flush-mount installation with non-intrusive magnetic calibration. Suited to finished spaces, occupied areas, and installations where a discreet, integrated appearance is required. Magnetic calibration avoids disturbing the flush-mount installation during routine maintenance.
