Dual gas detection in a compact form factor
The DuoIQ monitors two gases simultaneously without the size and weight increase typically associated with multi-gas detectors. At 139.8 g and the same dimensions as the UnoIQ, it provides dual gas coverage in a form factor workers are comfortable wearing throughout a full shift.

Modular, serviceable sensor trays
Pre-calibrated sensor trays are swapped in the field without manufacturer intervention. The detector recognises the new tray automatically and is ready to use immediately - reducing downtime and service overhead across large fleets.

Extended battery life
Up to 20 days at 8-hour shifts for tox/O₂ + tox sensor combinations. IR and pellistor combinations provide shorter runtimes. Recharge from 0–80% in 2 hours, 0–100% in under 3 hours.

IQhub integration
Automated bump testing in under 10 seconds and calibration in under 30 seconds via the Crowcon IQhub docking station. Compliance records generated and stored automatically.

Crowcon Connect
Cloud-hosted platform providing real-time alarms, compliance dashboards, location tracking, device configuration, and reporting for all connected devices. Calibration certificates are stored and retrievable directly from Crowcon Connect - simplifying audits and inspections.

One button operation
Single button design with backlit segment display - simple to operate in demanding conditions and suitable for use with work gloves.

Two Gas Hazards, One Detector - When Dual Gas Detection Is the Right Specification

Many working environments present more than one gas hazard simultaneously. Confined space entry typically requires monitoring for oxygen depletion alongside at least one toxic gas - usually CO or H₂S depending on the space. Maintenance in engine rooms may involve both flammable gas and CO risk. Pump room entry on a product tanker may require both H₂S and flammable gas monitoring simultaneously.

The conventional response is to specify a larger multi-gas detector. But where exactly two gas hazards need to be covered and minimising equipment bulk and cost per unit matters - as it does in marine environments where crew may be equipped individually for routine maintenance and inspections - a dual gas detector provides the right balance of coverage and practicality.

The DuoIQ covers this requirement without compromising on certification - Zone 0 / ATEX Category 1 rated, IECEx certified, and built on the same platform as the UnoIQ - making it suitable for the most demanding classified hazardous area applications on board vessels and offshore installations.

UnoIQ vs DuoIQ - Single or Dual Gas?

The UnoIQ and DuoIQ share the same platform, dimensions, certifications, connectivity, and accessories. The practical distinction is straightforward:

UnoIQ - single gas detection. Up to 31 days battery life at 8-hour shifts for toxic and O₂ sensors. The right choice where one specific gas hazard is present and maximum battery runtime or lowest cost per unit is the priority.

DuoIQ - dual gas detection at the same form factor. Up to 20 days battery life at 8-hour shifts for tox/O₂ combinations. The right choice where two gas hazards need to be monitored simultaneously without moving to a larger multi-gas unit.
