This swing type from Ghibsons GS series is available in sizes ranging from DN 40 to DN 600 - 1 1/2" to 24". Moreover, it is compact, low in weight, and can be installed horizontally or vertically. It is available with house, flap, screw and pins made of Super Duplex, and the spring made of INCONEL 718.
Features and advantages:
Exceptional corrosion resistance due to its construction with Super Duplex and INCONEL 718 material
Super Duplex and INCONEL 718 materials play a crucial role in making the GS 095 valve highly suitable for marine industry applications. Here's how these materials enhance the valve's suitability for marine applications:
Super Duplex
Exceptional Corrosion Resistance: Super Duplex is renowned for its extraordinary corrosion resistance, making it an ideal choice for marine applications. Marine equipment faces harsh conditions, including constant exposure to saltwater, high humidity, and aggressive chemicals. Super Duplex is extremely resistant to corrosion and erosion in these environments, ensuring that the valve can maintain its performance and lifespan, even under challenging conditions.
Longevity and Reliability: The durability of Super Duplex ensures that the GS 095 valve can withstand the rigors of marine environments, providing longevity and reliability in offshore installations and shipboard systems.
INCONEL 718
High-Temperature Performance: INCONEL 718 is a high-performance nickel alloy known for its exceptional performance at high temperatures and in aggressive environments. This alloy excels in maintaining mechanical strength and chemical stability at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for marine applications such as gas and steam turbine systems.
Reliable Valve Spring: The INCONEL 718 spring in GS 095 is crucial for maintaining the valve's performance in hot and demanding conditions. This alloy ensures that the valve can operate reliably and prevent backflow, even when subjected to high temperatures and pressures.
Enhanced Durability: The use of INCONEL 718 adds to the valve's durability, making it ideal for use in marine facilities and ship engines where high temperatures and pressures are a constant challenge.
DN 40 to DN 600, PN 6 to PN 25 and ANSI 150 - Pmax 25 bar
DN 40 to DN 300, ANSI 300 - Pmax 52 bar
Installation
GS 095 mounts easily between flanges with any type of packing. In the case of horizontal throughput, the ring screw must be positioned at the top. Ensure the correct flow direction (indicated by the arrow on the plate).
