With the ECON Salt Water Contamination Test Kit from Parker you can check the presence of salt in either lube oil, fuel, or hydraulic systems. This makes it easier for you to eliminate rapid corrosion and can be used to give rapid indication of any presence of salt despite evaporation of all water.

Furthermore, this salt water contamination test is fast and very easy to use by crew members on board of your vessel.

ECON Kit Insolubles Test Kit (FG-K1-006-KW)

The FG-K1-006-KW, also known as the ECON Kiut Insolubles Test Kit, is designed to measure insolubles in lubricating oil, which are a buildup of combustion debris and oxidation products. Monitoring insolubles is crucial for maintaining engine health, as high levels can lead to lacquer formation on hot surfaces, piston ring sticking, and wear on cylinder liners and bearing surfaces. This test kit offers two test modes—% insolubles w/w by IP316 or % insolubles by the Mobil Soot Index—ensuring highly accurate results. Its straightforward, quick testing process delivers actionable insights to help prevent engine damage by detecting harmful substances like fuel ash, carbon, and oxidized oil products.

ECON Viscostick (FG-K3-020-KW)

The ECON Viscostick from Parker gives you a simple go/no go result. Thus, it is easy to use and will usually detect 5-10% distillate fuel dilution of an SAE 30-40 engine oil. Moreover, it detects increases in viscosity because of oil contamination.

The application of the Viscostick includes:

Maintenance Tips for Using Parker Kittiwake Test Kits

To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your DIGI+ Oil Test Kits, follow these essential maintenance tips.

The DIGI+ Cell, equipped with a color display, is designed to guide users through important test steps, including cell cleaning. After each oil calibration and test, cleaning is necessary. Follow these steps to ensure safety:

  1. Dispose of the contents with care.
  2. Thoroughly clean the DIGI+ body upper part and the sample cup (including the agitator for H2O testing). Make sure no reagent residue remains on the O-ring and threaded surfaces.
  3. Use a lint-free cloth to clean the exterior and keypad. If needed, use a mild solvent like isopropyl alcohol. Avoid using water, water-based cleaning products, or other solvents, as they may cause damage.

This cell is intended for lifetime use without the need for calibration or service - expected lifetime is 25,000 tests of 5 years whichever is sooner.

DIGI+ is built with precision components to ensure long-term measurement accuracy, eliminating the need for periodic recalibration. However, if quality systems or risk assessments necessitate accuracy verification, DIGI+ can be sent to a service center for accuracy checks and recalibration if necessary.
