To ensure selection of the proper Spin-on Series filter, follow the steps below:

1. Choose mounting type (one small filter model is available as an in-line unit).

2. Choose “cold weather” heater type or none. Electric heaters are for heating static fuel as a starting aid and may not supply enough fuel flow for full-load operation. Filters with coolant heaters can heat and supply fuel at full flow for full-load engine operation. Heaters are NOT to be used in gasoline applications.

3. Select total flow rate through the fuel system (gpm or lpm).

4. Choose bowl material; engineering plastic or aluminum alloy. Aluminum is for high heat locations and enclosed gasoline applications.

5. Choose hand primer feature or none. The plunger-type priming pump is manually operated vertically like a piston and has no diaphragm. The button-type priming pump is operated with your palm and uses a diaphragm.

6. If available, choose bowl type: standard or deep. The 6120/4120 and 6125/4125 filters are identical in performance but the 6120/4120 units have high capacity deep bowls. The 6125/4125 filters use the 400/600 series bowl.

7. Choose the micron rating.

8. Choose port size: standard US or metric if available.

– Upgraded & Improved

Racor has redesigned its 2-wire WIF sensors for greater durability, featuring gold-plated probe tips and water-tight, detachable locking connectors for easy maintenance.

How It Works

Installed at the bottom of Racor fuel filter/water separator bowls, the sensor detects water buildup. When water reaches the metallic probe tips, the system detects a change in resistance and activates an alarm or warning light.

What is Aquabloc®?

All Racor marine fuel filter water separators incorporate Racor's exclusive Aquabloc® filtration elements. Aquabloc® features a unique engineered design with pleat-spacing corrugations and a graduated pore structure, enhancing dirt-holding capacity and prolonging filter lifespan. This waterproof and rustproof media efficiently captures contaminants, while its specially treated surface facilitates water separation and coalescence from the fuel. Resultantly, water gathers into large droplets, which then descend into the clear collection bowl. Aquabloc® elements are available in three different ratings:

30 micron (98%@30 micron):  Ideally utilized as a pre-filter to safeguard downstream filters from excessive contamination, thus extending the lifespan of the entire fuel system.

10 micron (98%@10 micron): Offers enhanced contaminant capture compared to 30 micron elements and provides superior water-blocking capabilities, thereby prolonging the entire fuel system's longevity.

“2” micron (98%4 microns): Delivers optimal water removal and filtration, ensuring comprehensive protection for all modern injection systems and significantly extending the service life of challenging-to-access on-engine filters.
