How does the Turbine Series Fuel Filter work?
The Turbine Series from Racor boasts a three-stage filtration mechanism, ensuring efficient removal of water and particulates from fuel, which significantly optimizes turbine performance. Let’s go through the three-stage filtration here:
1.
Fuel Separation: Upon entry, it passes the internal check valve, proceeding into the turbine centrifuge where it spirals, removing sizable particulates and water droplets. Due to their weight relative to fuel, they descend to the bowl's base.
2.
Coalescence: Tiny water droplets gather alongside and on the interior parts, including the Aquabloc® filter's outer layer. Once sizable, they also descend into the spacious bowl for drainage as required.
3.
Filtering: In addition to repelling water, asphaltenes, algae, rust, and minute particles from fuel. Aquabloc® filters are water-resistant, thus sustaining effectiveness for extended periods, resulting in cost savings.
