KI-series butterfly valves from Ghibson are soft-seated valves designed for marine applications. They are available in wafer body, lug body, and double flange configurations. This series of valves can also be used in vacuum environments, with a maximum pressure rating of 16 bar.

High Performance: KI Valves for Marine Industry

These soft-seated valves provide a versatile solution for marine applications, offering compatibility with a variety of systems and processes. Soft-seated valves are designed with materials that provide a more flexible and adaptable sealing mechanism.These materials, often rubber or elastomers, conform to irregularities in the sealing surfaces, creating a tighter seal and minimizing leakage and enhances the valve's ability to prevent fluid or gas from escaping, improving overall sealing performance.

The design is optimized for sizes ranging from DN40-800 and have a dual flange design from DN80-600. Max working pressure 16 bar for up to DN600 and 10 bar for DN600-800.

Model BVKI, BLKI and BFKI

BVKI (wafer), BLKI (lug) and BFKI (double flange).

Applicable for all 3 models: 

  • Can be supplied with handles with various locking and function options
  • From DN 250 - 300 the use of gearbox is recommended instead of handle
  • Valves over DN300 have a special designed shaft-disc connections for strong coupling
  • Available with actuators: pneumatic, hydraulic or electric
  • Possibility of spindle extenders made of steel or stainless steel
