Key Innovations in BilgMon 488 Version 5

Version 5 has been engineered to meet modern compliance requirements and the increasingly complex demands of marine operations. It introduces several significant enhancements:

1. Optional Flow Sensing Switch Input

Version 5 now includes an optional flow sensing input, enabling the system to monitor sample flow in real time. This functionality improves safety, reduces the risk of accidental discharge, and enhances compliance with MARPOL regulations.

This new input also enables seamless integration with the new BilgMon 488 Flow Switch, a companion accessory designed exclusively for Version 5.

2. Higher Current Handling on ASD Relay Output

To support more robust automatic stopping devices (ASD), Version 5 features an upgraded relay output capable of handling higher current loads.

This improvement strengthens system reliability and broadens compatibility with various ship installations.

3. Smart Maintenance Features

Version 5 introduces a sensor age reminder, helping the crew perform timely maintenance, sensor cleaning, and measuring cell replacement.
This feature reinforces compliance with IMO MEPC.107(49) and lifecycle-based sensor control.
